Florida is the Tops for Small Businesses

Bizjournals this week released its best and worst cities for small businesses. They factored things like the number of small business and growth or reduction of that number. Orlando was the big winner, but what’s more interesting is that four of the top five were Florida cities! Here’s the top five and bottom five:

Top five markets for small business:

  1. Orlando, FL
  2. Sarasota-Bradenton, FL
  3. Miami-Fort Lauderdale, FL
  4. Las Vegas, NV
  5. Jacksonville, FL

So, what markets were named the worst? Here are the bottom five, with “#1″ being the worst according to Bizjournals.

  1. Springfield, MA
  2. El Paso, TX
  3. Dayton, OH
  4. New Orleans, LA
  5. Memphis, TN
